From HFMWeek.com: Impala Asset Management, the $3.5bn hedge fund firm founded by former Soros Fund Management CIO Robert Bishop, has launched a long/short equity fund focusing on the alternative energy sector.
According to individuals familiar with Impala’s plans, the firm has been following the energy sector for the last couple of years. The new fund, which has both onshore and offshore versions, has been named the Impala Alternative Energy Fund.
